Space for Visual Research
In 2011 during our time at Bauhaus University Weimar as academic associates we founded the “Space for Visual Research” in colaboration with Prof. Markus Weisbeck. 2013 we made a workshop manual and compendium about it, published at Spector Books. The Space also played an important role in our teaching classes and its still ongoing.
“Images are at the core of contemporary communication. No message, no design and no research is without images. We find ourselves in the age of images, but the required culture of designing is in arrears. The SPACE FOR VISUAL RESEARCH proposes a teaching, a laboratory and a manual. It is aiming for abstract images that are independent of visual references, and emerge from a free authorship of the designer.”
